The first 50 EV owners taking part in the GridCars EV eXpedition to Formula E and arriving at Formula E in their EV at the Designated parking in Cape Town, will receive 1 free Grandstand ticket in the GridCars reserved area to attend the Formula E Race. Other tickets are available at normal prices. The GridCars EV-X offer also includes branded clothing, special privileges for the EV community and sitting together at the GridCars allocated Grandstand.
- Register: Complete the registration form which serves as an application in order to register your interest. Further details on how to make the payment to secure your booking will be communicated to you after registration.
- Select Package: During the registration you will need to select your preferred package, indicating from which city you will be departing, and if you want to drive the trip over 1, 2 or 3 days. You will select these packages based on departure dates.
- Book Accommodation: Accommodation must be reserved separately however, please wait for our communications on this as we would ideally like everyone to stay at the same hotel for 24-25 February 2023.
Note the following:
- Due to the high number of EV’s that will be using the highways there will be scheduling constraints which will be communicated after registration.
- To qualify you must be driving an electric vehicle powered only by an electric drivetrain, this excludes motorcycles and hybrids (but would include a Range Extender).
- GridCars reserves the right to have the final say on whether any particular vehicle qualifies for the GridCars Special tickets.
- Registrations are limited and close on the 20th of January 2023.
